“Keeper of Light,” a luminous addition to the AO Masterpiece Collection, feels like a hidden sanctuary revealed beneath deep shadow. Broad planes of sea-glass aqua and cool jade glow against dramatic black ironstone, divided by bold, flowing lines that resemble ancient channels or protective pathways. Within these calm waters, subtle flashes of opalescent colour—soft blues, hints of green fire, and fleeting spectral highlights—appear like lantern-light caught under the surface. A grounding band of warm earth and copper-brown tones anchors the composition, giving the piece the sense of light emerging from land into water, darkness into clarity.
