“Corroberre,” a commanding addition to the AO Masterpiece Collection, pulses with the rhythm of ancient country and the energy of gathering. Deep ironstone browns and charcoal shadows carve bold pathways through the stone, while sweeping pools of oceanic blue and turquoise glow like waterholes under moonlight. Striking ribbons of cream and pale sand cut through the composition in confident arcs—echoing body-mark patterns, ceremonial lines, and pathways across land—while subtle flashes of opal fire flicker within the darker seams, appearing like sparks rising from embers as the piece shifts in the light.
The opal itself is the masterpiece: powerful, symbolic, and alive with movement—evoking the spirit of corroboree, a sacred coming-together of story, song, and dance. Inspired by this natural formation, a complementary hand-painted canvas and custom Italian-made showcase present the work with refined precision and presence.
Complete with two brass ID plates, uniquely numbered and named, “Corroberre” is a rare collector’s piece—where earth, water, and cultural memory converge in a single, unforgettable vision.
